# Deciding where your models run and your data stays

“Hosted in the EU” can describe very different setups. A provider's EU region might still route support access, abuse monitoring or backups somewhere else, and your own logs can end up in yet another tool. We trace every path your data takes: the request, the model, the vector index, logs, backups, monitoring and remote support access. Then we compare realistic options for your workload, such as an EU-region API, a managed GPU host in the EU or models on your own servers. Their cost, effort and limits are written side by side. Once you decide, we deploy the chosen architecture and document every data flow so your security and procurement teams can check it.

### EU-hosted AI planning

A legal publisher wants semantic search across its archive of commentary and case summaries. Its contracts require the text to stay in the EU. We compare an EU-region embedding API, a rented GPU server in an EU data centre and an on-premises machine. If the API's default settings send samples outside the region for abuse review, the comparison names the setting that turns this off and the contract clause to confirm.

We help prepare inventories, data flows, security controls, documentation and remediation work for specialist review. Applicability depends on your role, sector, jurisdiction and product. We do not offer a blanket compliance certificate.
